Ladies and Gentlemen.
We are
all here to be present at the happy occasion of the
marriage of my daughter Ann and Campbell, and to wish
them well in their life together. They will make and
excellent couple and together I am sure that they will
prosper.
I
wish to take this opportunity to welcome Campbell to the
family. We could not have had a nicer young man joining
us and on their behalf I bid him a warm welcome. He has
not had an opportunity to meet most of them and only
distance keeps them away today, time however will
rectify this, and he will be welcomed by them all.
Speaking as a father who is immensely proud of his
daughter I know that Ann is a very capable young woman
in all respects, not only scholastically, but also in
the outside world. Best of all from a Yorkshire mans
point of view she is a very good cook, all due to the
guidance and tuition of my wife Sylvia. I have no doubt
that she will prove equal to her mother who has devoted
her life to looking after Ann and I.
Sylvia and I will miss her, she has always been my
bobby dazzler and always will be, but Campbell and Ann
must lead their own lives. They have their sights set on
what they wish to achieve in their life together and I
am sure that Campbell and Ann will achieve it.
I
bring with me best wishes from all the family, from each
and everyone, and also all those friends that know Ann,
to the happy couple.
Now
this it is with great pride and pleasure that I ask you
to rise and drink the health of my treasured daughter
Ann and Campbell and to wish them a long and very happy
life together.
Looking for that great opening or close.
