The previous poster is correct in stating that the ultimate responsibility for the cost of all weddings lies with the bride and groom and not the parents unless the parents can afford to help and choose to help. If the divorced parents want to help, they should let the bride and groom know and tell them how much they can help. If neither volunteers to help, then the bride and groom shouldn't force the issue.
