| I am looking for ideas on how to do a seating chart. I have heard of brides doing this on the computer, having a company called Kinko enlarging it onto a piece of foam board 20 X 28 or so, and framing it, decorating it with florals and ribbons. I have tried doing a test run, but cannot figure out what size font to use to make it come out even or if there is a program I may need to do this. I have tried on microsoft office, and I can see where it could be done, but just would like to know if any brides out there may have done this, and if so, HOW I can accomplish this for my daughters wedding. I was going to do a hand calligraphy one, but it would be major time consuming too close to the wedding. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank You. |

Perhaps some of our brides have some suggestions on making the type of chart that you mention.
What I have found that works the easiest is to give each table a name or a number, then make a place card for each person with their designated table number or name on it. The place cards are placed alphabetically on a table just inside the door of the reception room. Guests find their name and then their designated table. Depending on the number of guests who will be attending, this can be a faster process than having to create a chart, then having a crowd milling around the chart trying to read it and figure out where they are supposed to go.

Actually if you have a look around there are some new Software for you to do a Seating Plan
just do a Search on Google.com if you cant find anything on Foreverwed.com site (which I would look there first)
have a great day all |
