| < Music & Dance ~ a few personal touches to a ceremony.......please help |

The first one is very hard for me to over come......my mother is passing away and will not be there on my wedding day. I am finding it very difficult to share with her my plans and ask her for advice without really uppsetting her. I was hoping to have a candle ceremony to show the joining of two famiies and I know that this is traditionally done by the mothers of the bride and groom. I want to have my mother included in the ceremony some how but can not come up with a solution to the candle lighting ceremony; I cant just have his mother light a candle. I do not have any Aunts from her family or a God mother.
Number 2.......... probably something that a few will either turn their nose up to or laugh themselves silly but I am looking for a song for the recessional walk out of the church and I want to play it as a gift to my husband who has given up so many of his ideas for me to have my dream wedding. The son is "in A Gadda Da Vida" by iron butterfly however the version i am looking for so that it keeps with the theme of my traditional wedding is the organ instrumental that was used in The Simpson's the episode is Bat Sells His soul (where bart changes the sheet music in church and the congregation sing it as a hymme "in the garden of edan". Please help as this is the only way I think i can fit a piece of my fince's music into our wedding and cocktail party reception. DESPERATE!!!!!!! |

Ok first on this issue...
I am not sure where you think in Australia that we all do the candle ceremony but I have been and worked in a lot of places all over Australia in 30+ years as a Dj
only 4x times in that 30+ years that I have done (seen) a couple have a candle ceremony
In Australia we dont do 1/2 the things that are said in the way of Traditions at all (I know that as I have done enough weddings to scare a groom from never marrying)....
so if you dont want to do something in a wedding then thats where YOU (the Bride) will have to say no sorry that I dont want to do ... its not compulsary in Australia.....

sorry this is hard and unless you can get a sound track with the song on it you can always try a local Group that could possibly put it on CD for you but its hard to know if the sound would be good enough
