| I don't want the usual numbered tables, I want to make it fun and something for our guests to laugh about. Between the two of us (bride and groom) we have come up with a few ideas but the one we really like is a MUPPET theme - name the table a muppet and each guest gets a little figurine of that muppet from their table, we were also going to have the opening song from the opening credits as the song when the doors are parted from the cocktail hour for the seating - the problem we are having is I can not find the figurines anywhere..........I have been told they have recently become Disney however all our disney stores are closed now........any ideas? Another thought we had was heros and villians and looney tunes. I have seen some other classy ideas like perfume testers with the brands as the table names ie CK or Yves St Lauren and so on. Any other suggestions would be appreciated as we want to make our reception more of a party than a stuffy speach and dinner. We have 200 guest coming from all over the world so we would like to make it somewhat interactive to encourage people to mingle. |

Your idea sounds like fun. I recently had a reception at a historic train depot. They named their tables after railroad lines and used small decals that they found at a hobby store.
You might want to check the Disney web site or the Loony Tunes one to find what you are looking for. Also look for Muppet and Loony Tune Christmas ornaments. They should be in many stores. Check discount stores like Target or ShopKo. |
