| I am having a destination wedding in Jamaica. There will be no traditional wedding party. When and how do we formally announce this? We have the blessing of friends and family. We will be having a party in April before our June date. Who could I contact in Atlanta (GA) that would offer advise and inform me of the protocol for this type of event? I appreciate you sharing your expertise |

Hello--
Announcements are sent either on the actual day the wedding takes place, or as soon after the wedding day as possible. And traditionally, they are mailed by the bride's parents' from their own home town.
The wording on the announcements is usually very similar to what would be used on an invitation.
~ Bride's parents
~announce the marriage of their daughter
~ bride's first and middle name
~ to
~ groom's full name
~ on day, date, month
~ year
~ location (optional)
~ city, state, country
Good luck on your plans, and much happiness in your marriage.
