  Question and Answer: Wedding hairstyles
Sara L. Ambarian, managing editor, ForeverWed.com newsletter

I am having a problem finding a hair style for my wedding. Do you know of any websites or other places I can go to where I can find a variety of hairstyles to choose from? Do you have other advice about wedding day hairstyles? Help!
***

The best wedding day hairstyle for you will depend on a number of factors-- the length and style of your hair, your selection of headpiece/veil, the style and detailing of your gown (because you won't want to hide special details with long hair, for example), the overall
style and mood of your wedding, etc.  Who will style your hair on wedding day is also a consideration.

It's great to get ideas from magazines and websites, but many times it helps to have your stylist (if you will use one on your wedding day) see  your headpiece and gown style and perhaps make some suggestions, too.

Not all brides have their hair done professionally on their wedding day, but if you will, make sure you schedule a "practice run" a week or two ahead to perfect the basic style-- and take photos of the results, so you can bring
those on your wedding day, to make sure the stylist remembers what you planned to do.  (Sometimes busy stylists don't.)

The following are a few hair style websites that I like.  There are others.  Try searching on-line for "wedding hair", "wedding hairstyles", "evening hairstyles", etc., to find more.

You can also look through the magazines and style books in your hair salon.  They usually have lots of interesting ideas (as well as some outrageous ones <grin>).
