Alternatives to the Dollar

A wonderful idea that we have done in
the past is to auction off dances with the attendants or you can try something called
the money tree. You can either make a cone tree or have an artificial one (table top size
for either) to either pin or clasp the money to with the Wedding colors used.
Have plain poker chips with the wedding favors. Each person
gives back the poker chip for the dance. I think I've even seen poker chips made up with
"Dollar Dance" written on them at bridal favor stores.
I have been leaning towards calling the Dollar Dance, the
Good Luck Dance. By having the Maid of Honor and Best Man form the head of the line just
as in the Dollar Dance, people who want to give a dollar can and those that don't want to
for whatever reason, don't have to feel obligated to do so in order to dance with the
bride or groom.
