Beauty Tips
Use your hands to wash your face instead of a
washcloth to minimize friction.
Water should be warm, not hot. Warm water helps soap dissolve dirt
and oil.
Always remove makeup and sunscreens thoroughly with your
cleanser.
Exfoliation should never be less than twice a week to stay even with
the constant buildup of dead skin flakes that need to be shed.
Use natural absorbent cotton instead of synthetic for applying
toners. Cotton sweeps the skin more evenly; picks up on debris more
effectively.
Do NOT exfoliate a sunburn when it is red, sore or tender. Wait until
your skin has healed before resuming exfoliation.
Put some toner with water in a spray bottle and store in the fridge.
Use as a skin booster or cooling treat in the summer.
For puffy eyes, which are caused by a build up of toxins or fluids,
reduce swelling by pressing gently along the eyebrow and around the
lymphatic system. Also use two cotton pads soaked in cold milk as a
compress for 10 minutes.
While doing a mask you can soak two cotton pads in cold
chamomile tea and place over eyes.
Keep SMILING. It tightens the supporting connective tissue around
your mouth to maintain the shape of your face. And you feel better!
Blot your skin with a tissue after moisturizing to remove any excess
surface oil before applying your makeup.
To increase your energy try a whiff of peppermint oil.
Always protect your lips from the sun with a lip balm. Lips are a
common place for cancer.
Protect your hands with sunscreen as well. This will minimize age
spots and keep you looking younger.
Don't forget your neck when applying moisturizers. The less
wrinkles/lines on your neck helps you to look younger.
Steaming your face or a sauna is a good deep-cleansing treat. After
cleansing your face. Fill a bowl with near-boiling water and add three-
five drops of essential oil. Agitate the water to disperse the droplets
and hold your face about 6 inches above the bowl with a towel over
your head for 4 minutes. This will open your pores and prepares your
shin for the facial mask.
Oily Skin use lemon and eucalyptus oils
Dry Skin use chamomile and rose oils
Normal Skin use lavender and mandarin
Combination Skin use lavender and cypress
Make-up should be a tool to make you look good. Use your
cosmetics to enhance, to disguise, or accentuate your natural assets. |
