Receiving Line (optional)

Music:

First Dance

Music for first dance (slow song recommended):

You can have us invite your guests to join in partway through the above song, or we can invite them up when the next song begins. We can have the wedding party join you first and invite the rest of the guests to join in one verse later, or we can invite all of the guests (including wedding party) to join in at the same time. When and how do you want us to invite other guests to join in?

First slow song after first dance (optional):

Type of music to continue with after first dance. If sitting down to cocktails/dinner, soft music is recommended. If there will be some dancing before sitting down, high-energy dance music is recommended, but slow dancing or any other type can be used. If desired, you can also list specific songs here:

Grace (or other blessings such as Kiddush and Motzi)

Blessing

Name of person (with phonetic pronunciation) to be introduced to lead blessing

Toast

Name of person (with phonetic pronunciation) who will give the toast (usually the Best Man, could also be the Best Man and Maid/Matron Of Honor together):

Should person giving the toast be introduced, or simply handed the microphone (circle one)?

Will there be other people offering toasts? If so, describe:

After the toast, can the MC ask "does anyone else want to say something to the bride or groom or offer a toast?"

After the toast, can the MC ask "do the bride or groom have anything to say?"

Meal

For buffet (not applicable to sit down/served meal), we can do music trivia with the guests still sitting (to win the right to go next for food). Is this OK?

While guests are waiting for food, we can encourage other couples to come out on the floor and slow dance. Is this OK with you AND the caterer?

Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances

Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances can be combined or can be separate. Do you want them together or separate (circle one)? If separate, who dances first: Father/Bride or Mother/Groom (circle one)? If separate, also indicate which song for each below.

Music for Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dance (suggestions follow):

  • Unforgettable (Dinah Washington, Natalie Cole or Nat King Cole)
  • Wind Beneath My Wings (Bette Midler)
  • Through the Years (Kenny Rogers)
  • A Song For My Son/Daughter (Mikki Viereck)
  • Stand By Me (Ben E. King)
  • Always and Forever (Heatwave or Luther Vandross)
  • Daddy's Little Girl (Al Martino) (not at Jewish weddings)
  • You've Got a Friend (James Taylor) (If someone other than Father / Mother)
  • That's What Friends Are For (Wedding Party Dance)

We can invite all fathers/daughters and all mothers/sons to dance instead of just the bride's and groom's alone. Do you want to do this?

You can have us invite your guests to join in partway through the above song, or we can invite them up when the next song begins. We can have the wedding party join you first and invite the rest of the guests to join in one verse later, or we can invite all of the guests (including wedding party) to join in at the same time. When and how do you want us to invite other guests to join in?

The bouquet and garter toss can be done in an "ordinary" fashion, or it can be "livened up" by many different twists—ask us for ideas if you want to try something different. How do you want to do the bouquet and garter toss?
