A.
That will be some wedding
party! You are fortunate to have so many friends and family that
you want to honor in this way. (I trust that your church or
facility can accommodate 22 people at the front.)
I would ask the ladies soon.
Agreeing to be in a wedding means agreeing to the costs involved -
gown, shoes, transportation and accommodations. There may be one
or two who will be unable to be in the wedding either because of
the cost or because of conflicts, such as graduations or other
events (watch out for pregnancies). Those who agree to be in the
wedding will have time to save money for the expenses.
How about having a party and
inviting all the ladies. It could be a BBQ or a picnic, something
simple. Then, after dinner, give each person a small gift box.
The box can contain a note saying that you are getting married,
the date and location, and asking them to be in the wedding
party.
I would ask your maid of honor
before the party, however, so that the others don't feel bad that
she was chosen for that honor and they weren't. She might even be
the co-hostess at your party.
Best wishes to you.
