- Get heart shaped grapevines wreaths to use instead of
carrying normal bouquets for the bride's maids. They can be covered with
flowers and greenery or just do the tops with a rose or two and a spray of ivy
and ribbon loop handle. This would also be an effective pew decoration. This
could also be done in dry or silk and kept as a keepsake.
- Looking to dress
up your ceremony or reception site? Designed with faux hydrangea petals
accented with clusters of beads,
these heart-shaped wreaths add warmth and charm to any location. Great for
doors, walls, pews, or even the tail of your getaway car.
-
Get
a heart mold for the ice in the punch and freeze it with organic flowers or
candy hearts in it. White flowers don't look good frozen or dried. They tend
to look brown. Heart sandwich cookies filled with red or pink jelly or cream
would make nice favors. Or a cookie with no cut out and write names on them in
icing for place settings.
- Get or make a large wire frame heart or two large ones
intertwined and cover with white Christmas lights. Hang as a great focal
point.
- Get a large Foam core board and cut out "grade school"
looking hearts out of construction paper and paste them to the board. You can
put photos of the couple together and growing up in each one or leave some
blank for the guests to sign.
- Cut out homemade hearts out of colored paper after you
print on it with your computer for wedding invitations, programs or menus. I
believe around valentine's day you can find heart shaped paper napkins.
- Make a heart shaped cone to put your
rice or
rose petals or
wedding favors in.
Get paper cone favors and notch the top to
look like a heart.
- Adorn each table with
interlocking heart centerpieces, you and your guests will treasure these
for ever!
- Get a great heart stamp or two at the art store and you
can stamp all kinds of things such as napkins, your invitation envelopes, the
photo poster board, the paper cones, place cards, paper table cloths.
- I have seen a heart shaped
rose petals in a magazine but
I do not know how easy they would be to find.
- Get a heart shaped hole punch and make confetti for
tossing or decoration.
- If you can't find a pretty
heart
shaped cake topper,
you could get the bakery to make two cream puff that can face each other
on top of the cake and "make" a heart. (like the
Swan stamp at the post office
right now.)
- Get or make a heart shaped guest book.
- Have the Ring Bearer carry a heart shaped
ring pillow
