Continuing the Courtship

Does the courtship have to end with the honeymoon? Our
answer is emphatically NO! It is possible to continue the courtship through all the years
of marriage. To keep the courtship alive, agree never to take each other for granted.
Think back to your dating days. Remember that excited feeling you had as you were get tiny
ready to go out with your special date? Remember how hard it was to say good night and how
you just detested being apart? Thinking about the "olden days" may help us to
appreciate our mates in the "here and now.."
Take a couple of minutes right now. Decide on one
practical thing you can do today to show your mate that he or she is special. What about
giving your mate some words of appreciations? Demonstrate your gratitude in a practical
way. Maybe you'll want to send a card or make a phone call or plan a special date. You
could even re-create a date you had before you were married. Go back to that same
"greasy spoon" or take that hike once again or rent the movie you saw on your
first date.
Let us encourage you to court your mate today. The
honeymoon can be the beginning, not the end, of romance in your marriage!
