Cake Table Decorating

Decorating your cake table
can be as easy as 1 – 2 – 3!
Begin by placing a
tablecloth over the cake
table. A white tablecloth is
the norm, but if there is a
particular color you would
prefer, such as the color of
the bridesmaid’s dresses,
there is no set rule
disregarding this practice.
To dress up the edges of the
table, you can drape tulle
around it. You can further
dress up the tulle with
white Christmas lights,
greenery, and/or flowers.
You can also use your pew
bows from the ceremony to
attach around at the edge of
the table and drape over the
side.
To dress up the table
itself, you can scatter
Rose Petals
around it. This looks
particularly good if rose
petals are also scattered
over your cake. You can
scatter loose flowers rather
than rose petals if you
wish. You may also want to
add more tulle around the
table itself by “clouding”
the fabric to create the
effect of clouds.
Rose Votive candles and
holders
can also be used, provided
that it does not pose a fire
hazard. Use silver or gold
confetti to add some sparkle
to the table.
You can use props from the
wedding to dress up the
table. Display your
cake knife and server,
as well as your
toasting glasses.
Decorate the table with
Mint Julep Cups
and have the bridesmaids
place their bouquets in each
vase. The throw away bouquet
can be placed at the cake
table as well.
If you have anything special
for your wedding that you
would like to display, you
may wish to display it at
the cake table. For example,
frame your wedding
invitation and display
it prominently.
If you have a certain
theme, you can
incorporate it into the cake
table. For example, if you
have a
winter or
Christmas theme, scatter
fake snow around the table
and decorate the area around
the cake with small
Christmas ornaments. For an
autumn wedding, scatter
small pumpkins around the
table.
